This year, as part of the Salone del Mobile, the world's biggest and most prestigious furniture fair, designer Ferruccio Laviani worked with Italian-based outdoor furnishings company Unopiù to create a whimsical installation. It was a mini-wonderland, reminiscent of Lewis Carroll's classic story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Located in the garden of Triennale di Milano, seven small gazebos dotted the space in every color of the rainbow.
While three of the gazebos were used as make-shift showrooms for Unopiù, the other four were filled with wild imagery like jungles, gigantic flowers, imaginary animals and humans or anatomical tables reminiscent of the 17th century. Best part? On wooden planks, a series of red chairs seemed to be sinking into the ground. Source : mymodernmet.com - www.unopiu.com
