Oona is a piece with a story, inspired by a legend – where dark meets light with shadows, like perspectives, shifting. Her dark formed metal 'eyelid' exterior contrasts with with blown smoked glass around which it revolves, revealing the polished finish of the interior 'lid', which directs the lamp's glow, to be set and reset, transforming both itself and its stage.
Each piece is handmade by artisans in the U.S. Whether a single pendant or a grouping of multiples is commissioned, each Oona installation is unique, and comes with an illustrated and numbered collector's card - hand-drawn in pencil and bronze leaf paint by the designer.
